The Problem:

Academic Excellence is important, but not everything…

  • Families often rely on schools to prepare their students academically and professionally for college and career success. With the current demands of high-stakes testing, many teachers and counselors are at capacity and lack the time to commit to this important component of a teen’s development—that is, culturing them for college or career success.

  • Teachers work hard to plan, prepare, deliver, and support the academic needs of their students. They also become important college advisors, often without the knowledge or skills to guide, challenge, and support students along their transition from high school. What if teachers had a Cultured for College Impact curriculum that streamlined how they guide students toward a successful transition?

  • School Counselors are great at guiding students through their high school journey, and providing social and emotional support and resources. School counselors also have tremendous demands on their time to provide support for special education planning, testing coordination, student schedules, and mental health needs. These critical tasks often take priority over supporting the college and career transition process and many families rely on this support.
